A Nice Way To Wrap-Up The Semester

At our final in-person meeting of the semester, my ART 397 Special Topics in Art and Design students who started ZU in 2022 and who have no future classes with me surprised me with a heartfelt card. Moments like that remind me how lucky I am to be back in the classroom. Designing a course that let us push into AI, AR, VR and site-specific sculptural video was pure fun. I loved watching everyone step outside their comfort zones and wrestle with a whole toolbox of emerging creative tech. My hope is that I managed to plant at least a few digital seeds that will keep growing long after. Now, with summer break just around the corner, it is time to rest up and start plotting the next round of creative explorations.
